Orca Exploration Group Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, development, and supply of natural gas. The company, through a production sharing agreement with the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation, primarily operates the Songo Songo natural gas field that includes five producing wells, and two dehydration and refrigeration gas processing units in Songo Songo Island in Tanzania. It also holds interests in the Elsa field and 11 adjacent offshore exploration permits in offshore Central Adriatic in Italy; and a farm in agreement for the Longastrino block in the Po Valley Basin in north eastern Italy. In addition, the company is involved in the development of a coastal pipeline gas network in east Africa. Orca Exploration Group Inc. supplies natural gas to the power sector and industrial markets. The company was formerly known as EastCoast Energy Corporation and changed its name to Orca Exploration Group Inc. in April 2007. Orca Exploration Group Inc. was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
